FROM JFK TO SUB-ACUTE

Last night Crochety was sent to a new sub-acute facility. I asked that he come home, but the hospital felt he was "too fragile". They seem to think that he is just too weak now, which is exactly what he projects. He did get excited this morning when I spoke with him and told him I bought a new 40" TV so maybe that will be incentive enough for him to work out more and get his strength up! Lord knows I have tried EVERYTHING else...

His new place is AristaCare @ Norwood Terrace in North Plainfield. Room number is 222B and his phone is 908-222-5140.

Here we go again!

You know, I don't mean to criticize, and no dis on you Mrs C, but I never thought Joe was all that cute to begin with. Maybe this will help pretty him up? We can only hope.

Seriously, here's hoping for the best.

I'm hoping he gets his strength back up so he can go home and you can rest for a bit. You've been running around all over the place is my guess. Hang in there Mrs. C. :)

Wow! He can only hope that he gets better. We sure do miss him around here.

Thanks. I hope he can enjoy that TV soon.

You mean WE aren't incentive enough for him?

*sob*

That cuts deep Crotchety! Real deep! Now gitcher yer butt in gear and get better and back to blogging!

Have paddle will swat!

{Hugs} to Mrs. C and thankee so much for keeping us up to date! You are a Sweetie Pie!

He will soon be suffering 'travel sickness' with all this shuffling around!
But when he arrives home you are the one that will be overworking, almost as much as the TV!

Enough of this crap, Crotchety. Time to quit slacking and get that sorry butt of yours back home on what I hope is a brand new couch. There's also a brand new gigantic TV you can play Pong on without even wearing your glasses. Now if that isn't incentive, I don't know what is.

Great job on the updates, Mrs. C!

Maybe you should get him a new couch too. That may just be the incentive he needs. Wishing you both the best. Hugs.

Mrs. C,

Maybe you should show him pictures of the new TV. Make sure to have a show with pretty nurses in it when you take the picture.

Get better Crotchety!

Thanks for posting the new phone number.

Tell him if he doesn't start getting better, I'm going to call him at 11pm, 2am, and 4am every day/night until he recovers.

He'll be home in no time.

Enjoy the new TV! :)

I think it's time to return to your own zip code. I'm sure ya'll are tired of life on the road.

You might try describing to him how the Indian (dot--not feather) actresses look on a screen that big. Oh, that's probably not something that a wife would be comfortable doing. Sorry. Never mind.

Heck screw Joe, I'm coming over to watch that TV. ;)

Thinking of you both and hoping he comes home very soon.

Maybe you could take the TV TO him, and then continue to bring it more distant from him a little at a time. He'll move toward it so he can see the picture more clearly, get some exercise, and he'll be out of the Fragile ward in no time!

Take a picture of the TV with all his fav foods lined up in front of it. I'm sure he's ready for some home cooking and that could be a great incentive to get home.

Hang in there, Mrs C.....don't overdo and please take care of yourself!
Give COM my best.....:-)

This is to all of Crotchety's friends: I am afraid something bad may have happened. For the last several times I have tried calling the number given in this post, there has been no answer. The first three times, I tried calling between 8-9 AM his time on different days, and then I tried calling around 9 PM his time, which is Eastern Standard Time this time of the year. Hopefully, it is nothing more than just that he has been moved and we haven't been notified. If anyone knows something, please let us know what is going on.

FishHawk. Thanks for the headsup.
I hope all is OK :-(

Okay, I just hung up the phone from talking to Crotchety, and he is doing good. So, I am sorry for sounding so worried before. Yeah, I should have known that someone like him will never ever really go away. By the way, his number is still the one listed in this post. GIVE THE POOR BOY A CALL!!!
