    Dear DOM,

    That's enough.

    Love,
    Quirky

    Shawn's letter was to Nickelback.

  7. I spoke to Joe a couple of days ago, he was doing OK, holding his own, the pain meds seemed to be making him pretty much out of it and very tired. The infection is slow to heal, but making slight progress. I am hoping to get to see him this weekend.

  23. I just spoke to Joe's other half. Joe is having surgery they hope tomorrow. He has a fever and still in pain. Hopefully the surgery will be the answer.
Mrs. Crotchety just asked that you keep Joe in your thoughts and prayers. I will post again when I hear more.

  24. Just spoke with the man himself and his wonderful other half. These are brave, strong people, but what Joe is dealing with is about as bad as it gets.

Joe will have surgery tomorrow, a big one. He and Mrs. C. have asked for our prayers. If that isn't your belief system, please send good and healing thoughts out into the atmosphere.

Joe is my hero. I have MS, but I don't have half the dignity and fortitude and humor he displays.

We're pulling for you Crotchety Old Man. xoxo

  26. Hey Joe - You really have a lot going on. I heard about your upcoming surgeries (on Secondary Roads) and I wanted to let you know I'm praying for you and thinking of you as well. Hang in there, my friend - you are one of the greatest bloggers, and I have missed your funny posts lately. I *do* hope Nurse Hottie continues to care for you - and know that we'll be waiting for an update on how you are. Your blog is one of the "glue" blogs that keeps me with EC...so get better and get back here, please.

    Loads of love & hugs,
    Katherine

  32. Just heard from Mrs. C. Joe's surgery was postponed until 6 tonight. She said Joe is hanging in there.

The long suffering Mrs. C sounds hoarse and absolutely exhausted, the poor thing. I just wanted to reach through the phone and hug her.

They are both grateful for everyone's prayers and good wishes. I put a post on my MS board for him too. We diseased ones have to stick together. :)
