Did youse see the price of a tree in Manhatten? 900 bucks. Yes, you read that correctly. Some moronswealthy folks are paying that much for a tree. The same tree in places like NJ, or Brooklyn would cost $150.
Bah Humbug! Happy Hannakah! Youse guys need 8 days of presents. Oy!!!
No I didn't see that. What do they do, cut it down, bring it to your house and decorate it? Then when Christmas is over they come back and take all the decorations down, remove the tree and then vacuum? Good grief I'd never pay that much for a tree.
Have a terrific day Crotchety. My best to Mrs. C. :)_
@ Sandee: It was on the morning news. An overpriced tree is big amongst the wealthy who have so much money they spend it foolishly. Then they go and lecture us commoners on how we should financially support their pet cause.
@ Nonamed: No surprise there.
@ middle child: Nope, just regular Douglas fir.
@ Vanilla: You have to realize NY is full of self rightous knuckleheads, more money than brains.
@ LL: In my little slice of heaven, we covered everything in concrete.
It is amazing how people will waste money. I choose to waste my money on wooden spoons. Mr and Mrs C. it was great having lunch with you two today. Thank you. I know it will be hard, but try not to loose your present. MB
I'm a crotchety old guy who enjoys ranting and raving about the injustices of the world. While many of my rants are political in nature, I can complain about almost anything. If I were a cartoon character, I'd be Grandpa Simpson or an elderly Eric Cartman.

I'm still stuck on hum buggery. Fa la la la la la la la la...
Am I correct in assuming this tree is covered in Swarovski crystals and sprinkled with 14k gold tinsel?
Humbug, indeed. Youse got this one right.
I think trees are still under a hundred bucks in this area.
$900??? You got a tree in your yard you can cut down and get in on some of that?
I can see you squealing with delight every time you run across a story like that. No, it is not a pretty sight.
