Caption winner announced

This week the staff at Crotchety Old Man World Wide Headquarters and Discount House of Worship was in almost complete agreement. One caption was on every scorecard (this may be a first) and more than half scored it as best. This is what could be considered a landslide.

Before announcing the winner, it should be mentioned that Dzzblond and Jormenground were the only others who got first place votes, so it wound up a battle for second. And points were scored by Dana, Canucklehead, Chat, MA, FreetheUnicorns, SwirlGirl, and Matt.

In the sexy couple Marathon, Suzy and John were disqualified for doing the 68 and a half totally backwards.

She wins the Zucchini and 500 entrecard credits.

In a close race, second place went to Dizzblnd, and third to Canucklehead, with Jormengrand right behind him.

Thanks for participating in another great contest.

And as far as my getting in touch with my inner Abe Distelfink, it's probably not going to happen. Everyone who knows me has stated I would be a terrible Amish person. The combination of my laziness, along with my TV and computer addiction would cause miserable failure. Though it should be pointed out that black is slimming, so the clothes would be an advantage, and I do like wearing blue shirts. "Crotchety Old Amish Man Yells at Buggies" is an available domain.

I could be the only Amish blogger. Talk about niche blogging.

Congrats to the winner! You know if you became an Amish person, as a married man you would have to start growing a beard (with no mustache) for the rest of your life.

Seriously that is the funniest caption I've ever seen! She deserves to win a double award for that!!

Good job and congrats ettarose!

I like to keep things simple and orderly but the Amish jumped the shark without the benefit of a motorized vehicle.

Being an Amish blogger would be great! YOu could talk about everyone you know and no one will know!
BTW-how do you look in a straw hat?

Hm, I don't think White Castle drivethru is ready for your buggy to truck on through.

Just sayin'.

Glad to have you back in the land of the blogging, Joe!

you do have a niche Joe. I don't know any other crotchety old men bloggers. I know perverted old men bloggers, but that's a whole different story...

@ MA: I already have the beard, so I'm halfway home

@ Krissi: It was great. Hall of Fame class

@ Lauren: True dat

@ Swirl: Just from what I reveal here, should be enough to know I'd be horrible at being Amish. Petticoats may be a good look for Mrs. C

@ Etta: Glad you like it. You earned it.

@ Michelle: Happy Friday to you, too.

@ Quirky: It was my favorite, too

@ Reforming: *snickering* at Amish jumped the shark. Now I can't get the image out of my mind of that Happy Days episode with Fonzie in a buggy

@ Kirsten: It does have it's upside

@ Jenn: Thanks. Yeah, The Castle drive through would be awkward with my buggy

@ Paul: Yes, it is.

@ Dizz: It became a battle for second

@ Chat: You are the most gracious particiapnt ever

@ Alicia: Angela (blog designer) took a crappy drawing I did, and she made it good.

@ Petra: I never thought of it that way

@ Sandee: You have a great weekend, too.

I still think I should have won, but what could I do with 500 entrecard credits? I still couldn't afford ONE ad on your site and that's what I'm living for.

Will hook for entrecard credits.

You're Amish? Were you on "Aaron's Way" 20 or so years ago? How cool are you?

Oh- that kinda makes my life.
