This really annoys me.
I fool around with language sometimes, but I know it.
But when a major news outlet anchor uses incorrect language, well, it is just so stupid it is irritating.
Last week, they were discussing a mom killing her kid. The anchor referred to it as matricide.
How stupid can they be?
I often hear among young people the word coversating Oy!!! Conversing, please.
And I've even seen teachers write the non-word alot. A lot, Teach.
I gotta go. Conversate among yourselves 'til I get back.
Namaste to youse

I love how Nancy Grace calls her Tot Mom.
However, tater tots all over the world are rebelling.
Is youse in the dictionary? Just asking.
Have a terrific day. My best to Mrs. C. :)
Anchors and reporters alike should check their 'script' (as it were)for other verbal faux pas. For instance, I literally heard a foreign correspondent reporting on a conflict somewhere in Africa referring to it as, " ...an unpopular war". Which of course begs the question, when is war ever "popular"?
Oy is right!
;-)
Ya'll is prolly rite. We be fixin' to head out to the lake and get us some fishing in before its dark 30.
Willy aint got no problem using proper language.
10-4 Willy
'Treasurys' compelled me to email the author of an article in the Wall Street Journal. I ended up having a very pleasant exchange with him.
I'm every bit the self-deputized Grammar Policewoman, I can't help it. I fear texting is turning us into a nation of morons.
"alot" One of my pet peeves, too. No, my peeve is with people who can't be bothered to learn the simple language skills necessary to polite and civil discourse.
