Monday Morning Meh

I have nothing to complain about today. Photobucket

I am every bit as surprised as you by that. It's pouring rain outside, but since we got the roof fixed, that doesn't matter much. We no longer live in the house that used to flood when there was heavy rain, so that is fine, too.

Well, I'm not feeling really well, and erm Photobucket but that isn't a big deal. I'm sure it will pass in a day or so.

I finished my taxes. Well, I don't do them, I gave them to my accountant, but at least they are turned in to her. She'll probably file them in a day or so, so that is ok.

The Crotchety Old Lady hasn't had any snow to shovel or grass to cut, so she is in a good mood, too.

About the only thing that needs attention is I have to pick out what I will have for dinner on Wednesday.

Mrs. Crotchety will make anything for me as long as she doesn't have to turn on the oven. Or she will go to any local restaurant to pick up what I want, but I can't think of anything I'd like.

Suggestions are welcome.

Sounds like my Monday...

How about a nice frozen lasagna, premade caesar salad, and frozen garlic bread? Mmmmmm...

Hope you're feeling better soon. As far as food for Wednesday...I say see how the tummy is doing and then maybe do the take-out thing (when you know what you're up for).

We had hail. I caught it on the cell phone video cam. :) I'm off to see a little girl be born. Have a happy day.

How can you even think about food?

As long as it's something with garlic, you're good!

If your not feeling well still, then get some soup or chowder. :)

Beefaroni and Oreos. A real treat for the discerning palate. Or, Cheerios and bananas! All American cuisine. Well, maybe American-Honduran.

@ Mary: Lasagna and a Caesar salad sounds pretty good.

@ Grandy: I should be better by then.

@ Lauren: I heard about the hail north of here. We just had rain. Have a great day.

@ Dizz: This could be a first. I'm marking the calendar. But tomorrow I'll have an extra cranky post to make up for it. Major compliants.

@ Reforming: It's a long story.

@ Lady Sarcasm: But I want a special dinner.

@ Beefaroni and Oreos would be kind of special. I have to think about that.

Pizza- you're in Jersey, land of excellent pizza. That's what I'd want. A big New York slice with pepperoni where the grease runs down your arm.

LOVE it.

Just eat cake. Eat it for dinner, and then eat it for dessert. And then do some coke. It's your birthday!

Ah, don't worry. I'm sure something will annoy you soon enough.

That's how it works out for me -- a perfect mood of contentment can be shattered by a big ole pile of nonsense flung my way.

Dinner on Wednesday? You'd better be careful -- that's April Fool's day and your wife might have an axe to grind...

No wonder you aren't feeling very well today. It's all the decision making that you have to do. Tell Mrs. Crotchety that she is expecting way too much from you.

Feel better and have a great day. :)

Either poop on a stick or Pad Thai.

Your choice.

On a Monday, everybody should have something to complain about. Maybe you need a nap or something?

My suggestion:Cookie Dough.

Da Old Man said...

@ Jenn: Hmmm, pepperoni sounds pretty good. It's on the list of possibilities.

@ Shawn: I do like cake. Chocolate cake. MMMM.

@ The Hawg: Oh yeah, I'm already pretty worked up about something. Tomorrow will be a major rant.

@ Sandee: I agree. I hate doing all this thinking. By now, Mrs. should know exactly what I want.

@ Mike: I'm not a fan of either

Da Old Man said...

@ Nooter: Liver snaks could be good, but do they come in like a parmesan or garlic variety?

@ CB: I just took a nap. It helped a lot. Thanks.

Isn't it awful not to have anything to b***** about? Everyone's so nice at work and they even say good morning on a Monday. I was in shock. I am bored because there's nothing I can do to irritate them. Darn.

CHINESE.

At least that is what I am craving. :D

Saturday here was cold and rainy. If it wasn't for global warming, we would really be cold!

Besides, isn't Wednesday April Fool's Day?

I say go out to eat somewhere, if you can.

@ Cacain: Thanks

@ FishHawk: Not to worry. Since that post, I've gotten about 6 things to really aggravate me.
Stupid taxes. :(

@ Carl: Oh, the non complaint situation has been rectified.

@ Stacie: I'm torn between that and Italian. And Mexican.

@ Paul: Yes, Wednesday is April Fool's Day, and that is a big part of the festering rant. If I left the house, my computer would have to be turned off. Am I able to do that?

Wow, that truly IS a meh Monday.

Chinese gets my vote...eat in, take out or home delivery...start with Chicken rice Soup to keep your stomach feeling fine - since you know you'll be better by then...then add some fried dumplings, crab rangoon, and cashew chicken....gtg now - I am craving some takeout...

Eat cow tongue with rice and beans.

Mucho bueno Senor Crochety!

Marinated tofu with orzo and sauteed kale in olive oil and garlic. Garlic bread on the side. Glass or two of wine!!

WAA LAA!!!

Whatever you eat, I hope it's nice and spicy with plenty of that awesome cayenne pepper stuff.

Love the bathroom smiley. It cracked me up.

Da Old Man said...

@ Petra: Totally

@ Phillipia: Leaning towards Italian, now.

@ Quirky: Not a chance

@ Michelle: Not much of a party dinner

@ Janna: Uhhmm, no.
I can't take that.
Glad you liked the smiley :)
