Operation -- NOT

Dictated 8:00 pm on Friday:

My operation was pushed from 9 am to 10 am. The anesthesiologist decided my blood was not up to par and cancelled the operation until 6 pm. It turns out the clotting factor was just not good so I received blood products and still at 6 pm after hundreds of blood tests I was borderline. Surgeon doesn't like to operate too late as statistics show late night operations result in too many complications. It is a holiday weekend so they are not going to do my "tummy tuck" until Tuesday. ACCCKKKK!
Fortunately, I am still in the same room, 3223 and phone is still 732-321-7213. Call if you can. Mrs. C is getting tired of entertaining me. I miss my pc!

Wow...sorry to hear you are having such a terrible time. I sent out a prayer for ya yesterday when I read about you on Secondary Roads. It can be soo frustrating when the doctors just can't seem to figure things out. Hope things get better for you real soon!

Ok, this is a good thing. None of us ever wants a lesson in patience, but now you have three days to get even stronger.

Do breathing and relaxation exercises. Imagine yourself healing and healed. Ask for copious amounts of Xanax. I'm a nurse, I know about these things.

I wrote about you in my blog and I'm getting such a great response! On Facebook, on my MS message board, all over the world (I'm not kidding, even in India, Australia, Central America, Canada and England) people are praying for you and thinking about you

Hang in there buddy! And Mrs. C, get some rest sweetie. You sounded absolutely wiped! You need to take good care of yourself. Winter is coming. You need to be in good shape for all that snow shoveling with that awesome ergonomic snow shovel!

Yes just like most surgeons they'll never cut on the weekend. Just shows how dedicated they are and how important the darn surgery is. Be well.

You gonna go ahead and splurge for those six-pack ab implants while they're already at it? I know you've been eying them for quite a while...

Best of fortune to you buddy.

I hope you read all these comments, so you can see how many people adore you and want you to get better!

Does Mrs C print them off for you?

They contain so many well-wishes that you might as well just wad them up and swallow them like pills! ;)

Hey, it could work.

I often think about calling but worry that I'd end up picking a bad time and would just end up annoying you. (e.g. mealtime, sponge-bath time, bathroom moments, arguing with doctors, etc.)

WOW! In any other circumstances, they would've been shoving you out the door weeks ago! They must really love you there for them to give you a long weekend added to your "vacation"! Kick some ass, buddy! You, too, Mrs. C!

Hang in there, old man. My sympathies are with you and wish you and your body good luck for next Tuesday (which may be Wednesday or Thursday, 'cause over long weekends weird and hurtful stuff happens to citizens that may require more triage than you!)
Love your snarky comments.

*waves hand in air, just waiting to be called on*

I still don't know what the best time would be to call..I would hate to interrupt the "special" sponge bath times...

Get that blood in order Old Man, get your health straightened out, and come back to us soon. I really would hate to have to come kick some doctor arse..

Been thinking about you all day but I was on the road and couldn't call. I'll check in tomorrow.

Everyone I know is praying for you and your family. I am praying for your health, of course, but also that you will feel at peace while this crisis runs it's course.

Sending many fond good thoughts to you.
