Newscasters are morons

Seriously.

We had a major blizzard in this area, between 20 and 30 inches of snow, and drifting.

The news reporters went batshit crazy, as if we had neither windows nor doors to go outside and see for ourselves. Reporters were all over the streets while telling us not to go out. It's not enough to say the streets aren't plowed, we need to be shown. After all, unplowed Elm St in Elizabeth looks so much different than unplowed Hamilton St. in Elizabeth, NJ.

Damn, I need a font for sarcasm.

And, by the way, Mrs. C wants a new shovel, which I'll buy for her. God, I'm so good to that woman.

Why a new shovel for the Mrs? Didn't she buy a new spoon recently. A little bending over is good for the soul.

Technically, aren't those the guys that call themselves "meteorologists"? What kills me is when they go out in the middle of a friggin' hurricane and say, "It's a little breezy out here". You don't say.

Meteorologists my ass. More like space cadets, if you ask me. But "morons" is quite fitting.

I find most of the media thinks we are morons. They are so full of themselves. They have all the answers, all knowledge. Right.

You truly are good to the misses aren't you. I'm sure she doesn't appreciate you either.

Have a terrific day and stay warm and dry. :)

A new shovel? Already? Didn't you just give her one of those a couple years back? What the hell... doesn't she know how to take care of her things?

Instead of buying her the new shovels, pay the teen in your area to shovel the step for you.

I agree about the newscasters. Somerset county in my area only got 6 inches, you would have thought I was unable to get out.
