What's the Next Step?

Yeah, I know. I said I wasn't going to blog on Thursdays. Oh well. Stuff happens.
By the way, the contest is almost over, and some of the judges are having major problems. It seems they have laughed their asses off, and that is creating quite the dilemma for them.

But they are tough, that is why they are judges here.

Anyway, today, I have had technological problems. And I am pissed. Usually, I am so darned mellow. (snickers)
Don't tell the Crotchety Old Lady but a few years ago, when my computer had "technological problems," and the front panel fell "mysteriously" off it, well, let's just say computers are sissies. They can't take a punch.

No, I didn't use a stick or anything, I gave it a good left jab. The front panel sorta smashed in, and the stoopid computer went flying.

I taught technology a lesson that day. And within a week, or so, that computer was totally trashed, and recycled into something like plastic hangers or another equally perfect use for recycled technology.

Score:

So, this morning, as always, I went to sign in to my entrecard account. And, it won't let me.

Naturally I did what any calm, rational person would do. I yelled at the computer for a while. That didn't help. Then I went about my business away from the computer.

I came back, and it still didn't work.

I reset my password, sent a note to the dorks at entrecard, and took a nap.

Woke up to no reply from them. So, again, I tried to reset password, and still got the message password is incorrect. What to do, what to do?

I had a peanut butter and tomato sandwich (don't knock it until you try it. It is my contribution to the gastronomic universe. Yer welcome.) I tried again, and still nothing.

Now, this is where I start to get, oh, peeved.

Apparently, I can get my question answered quickly if I ask on the forum for questions. I can get help, too. How do I access the forum?

That's right. I have to sign in. To. The. Account. That. Won't. Let. Me. In.

I hate technology.

Darn technology. Ive realized after beating the crap outta my computer and standing over it as I shout "What now punk, yeah, you better stay down"
That technology doesnt really respond well to physical punishment, haha. Then I spend the next couple of days apologizing to it as I am fixing it, haha.

@ The Fly: I know it doesn't help, but there is just something so satisfying about beating the crap out of an inanimate object. I once smashed the crap out of an old Ford Falcom with a sledge. Felt really good.

Did you try cap locks on and off? Heck if you're still that angry I have a Geek Squad guy in Rego Park I'd really like pummeled.

@ lauren: It's not cap locks. Give me his address. Some computer guy needs a beat down.

And you say Fluffy Toes has anger issues?? :)

Aaagh!!! I hate when that happens! It reminds me of my adventures in mobile phone technology while in the States earlier this year. Never has my phone been sworn at so much. Never has T-Mobile been verbally abused so thoroughly (in their absence). Never have I so badly wanted to flush my phone down the toilet.

I hope you get this one sorted quickly.

Technology has it's own agenda. It's slowly working on us, breaking us down to bend as it's will. I know I've smashed a few down and their predacessor always comes back to haunt me in some technological wierd way... like losing passwords.

This is what I love. I have this thing, RoboForm that "fills in all my blanks"... like usernames and passwords. Click a button and you don't have to do all that typing. What I love is when I push that button for the dang thing to do all the work for me and... it askes for RoboForm's password... What's the point? It's confusing, I know... But, that's how backwards I function...

Glad you posted on your day off...

my only question is--why would you take your anger out on a poor tomato? relegating it to a peanut butter sandwich?

Oh, and I feel your pain too! :D

@ Michiganderlady: FluffyToes has a bunch of other issues, starting with being named FluffyToes. World's worst dog name.

@ jay: I haven't even started on my cell phone issues.

@ Flowergirl: yeah, this day off thing hasn't taken. :)

@ Chat: You need to have faith. It is the best use of a tomato. One day, it will be accepted as one of the world's great sandwiches.

LOL ... bit of a catch 22, eh?

Actually, I'm sick of entrecard at the moment...it's so slow it's not even usable.

@ Drowsey: Tomato. It's great

I use firefox...and I think it reads my subconscious mind---because it always knows all my passwords. I don't do a thing.

I generally become afraid when you start mentioning what you do with peanut butter...but was safe here.

Well, your password didn't work, my whole Entrecard was deleted. Well talk about peeved, because they really had no reason to do that. I wrote to them and asked them why they deleted me, and they responded the next day with an apology, and gave my card back. I mean it was nice they apologized however, I had ads that also got deleted, now people are hesitant to do ads with me on my card. Yes, technology some days can do ya in for sure!

@ Hypocritical One: I had Firefox for one day. It irritated me. Not only do I hate technology, I don't trust anything different from what I almost know.

@ Skye: The entrecard guy has been in contact a couple times, but let me know since it's Friday, I probably won't hear anything until Monday. I keep getting advert notifications, though. Which makes me more annoyed. I have about 6500 credits and earn about 100 a day, so I really want to get back up.

I'm guilty of beating up inanimate objects as well. SO I bought a heavy punching bag...it helps, but it's still not nearly as much fun as breaking the object that pissed you off in the first place :-)

Is this the blog where I express my anger issues?
